Zoe's Birthday and Strawberries

Michelle sang songs to Zoe for her 2nd birthday, while Charlie gave her lots of hugs. Zoe showed her appreciation with lots of kisses.


Our first strawberry has arrived!

Although yard toys drive my husband crazy, I sure am going to miss the days when are yard doesn't have them.

Boardwalk Beach -- Sandwich

We got word yesterday that there was going to be a small field trip to the beach put on by the Discover Center in Sandwich. Being that it was going to be a beautiful day we shelved our normal library story hour and went. The kids had a blast and are now both sleeping, :-)

We listened to a story....


Explored a little...



Then looked at all the things others found, let's face it Michelle and Charlie just ran around.



Then we took our dirty behinds home, :-)

New Beds!!

Since Charlie's crib/toddler bed has been recalled we had to get new bed. I dragged the kids to store after store to find what I wanted and overall they were so good. I never knew furniture and mattresses stores were so exciting. We might do this as a rainy day activity again in the future, ha ha.

Michelle got a new bed too.





Charlie had a great nights sleep!


Of course as soon as he got up we had to put on his Ironman shirt. I don't know if I am supposed to put a stop him wearing this shirt every day or if I should just keep throwing it in the laundry at night, hmmm.

Our new friend Charlie

Charlie has named this cardinal, who hangs out on our deck and in the yard, Charlie. I think it is going to get very confusing as the summer progresses but he wanted to name him so we went with it.




Oh my, looking at these pictures of Michelle just made me realize how quickly they are growing up, :-(

Ladybug obsessed

Michelle has loved ladybugs for a good while now, most likely because of her bedding. She has been talking about her "favorite insect" for weeks but when one landed on her at the beach the other day I think her year was complete. She loves to tell the story of how it landed on her finger and then flew away to anyone who will listen. It should be no suprise that this is what she would wish for.

We have a new family member.....Ironman!!

Playground fun

Today we met Grace and Moezy at the BWB school playground. When I took Michelle inside to go the bathroom I got teary eyed, I can not believe in a few short years she will be going there, :-(

The kids had a blast and thankfully wore themselves out. Michelle was so brave trying new things and Charlie was simply handsome in all that he tried. It was a bittersweet to see the girls taking on new challenges and watching Charlie feel left out. I am so proud of Michelle, but I was a bit sad for Charlie, he simply could not keep up.

Busy, busy morning

We were stuck home this morning because we needed to get a new hot water heater, so we kept ourselves quite busy.

First we checked on our strawberry and broccoli plants:

We even flew kites! Isn't this picture hysterical? I just wanted a picture of her with her kite but this is what I got, ha ha.



We then went for a bike ride which was great until the police showed up!!!




Charlie tried talking his way out of a ticket.......
