Winter Days

Today we are having a PJ day as the kids don't feel so hot. I seems like it was just last week that we were all sick, oh wait it was. The good thing about snowy/rainy days is that you do things you haven't done before.

Michelle has been able to get on the computer and use the games she got for her birthday.

Charlie to my suprise has learned how enjoyable reading can be.

And just for fun....

Yesterday as I was getting Charlie's shoes on Michelle decided she wanted a piece of chocolate. She pushed the chair over to the refridgerator and climbed up. When I came around the corner with the camera she told me she was only going to smile twice and then she needed chocolate.

I just love this picture of her heading to school. She was showing me the blue blanket she was taking so she wouldn't get sad. Too bad she started crying a minute after we got in the car and had to be peeled away from me when whe got there. :-(

Will the true Charlie step forward

We won't mention what happened to Charlie's winter hat (ahem Zoe) but Mike really didn't like it anyway. Now that I think about it, I wonder if that is how it ended up in her kennel? Questions to ponder.

We found a new hat for him today that he will not take of because it is "just like daddy's". I'll have to aim for a picture of the two of them in their hats tomorrow. Regardless, this picture is for those of you that insist Charlie is "so happy". He quickly recovered after eating a few more bites of dinner and ice cream. He is so messy!!!!

A post about Charlie...

I feel as though I have been writing a lot about Michelle these days and I don't want my Charlie Bear to feel left out. He is however still up to his old ways starting with putting shoes on when he gets up in the morning over his PJs.

He also loves to torture his sister by taking her things, including the very popular rain hat these days.

I took the dogs for a run on the beach today and Charlie had a fit because he wanted to go play at the beach. (They were in the car overlooking the water, no worries we were all together at Loop Beach) Oh my, he cried the entire way home so I put on his snow gear and let him play in the back yard. He loves it! Please disregard the nose, I can only keep up so much.

First Day of School and Swimming

We had quite an eventful day around here today, both Michelle and Charlie had fun filled days at their respective "firsts". Unfortunately I do not have any pictures of Charlie's big day at swimming, but I assure you he had SO much fun. He did have me in hysterics as we pulled into the YMCA parking lot. They are doing a major overhaul of the building so there are lots of trucks and sand piles. We had been talking about swimming and when he saw the piles of sand he started excitedly saying "swimming at the beach, swimming at the beach." Apparently he didn't notice the snow covering some of the piles. I'm hoping Mike will have a day off some Tuesday to come photograph Charlie's sheer excitement.

Michelle did great at school, neither of us even cried!!!! I had a moment but I controlled myself. Now granted should she cry next time, I'm sure to myself. We started the morning with some blueberry muffins.....(don't ask about the booster on the floor, she had a mind of her own this morning)

We then had to sing a song in our kitty piano....

Do a little dance.....

Okay now we're ready....(I would like to note, I figured Charlie would have a fit not being able to stay at school so I told him we were going swimming. Well this initially backfired because right before these photos were taken Michelle was crying saying she wanted to go swimming not to school)

Apparently Michelle did great. She did cry at pick up when she saw me because they asked her wait until her name was called in circle time. On Thursday she gets to celebrate her birthday, how many times can a girl celebrate, I mean this is getting insane!!!!

Here she is showing Charlie and I her artwork from the day.

Oh yes, and why not finish off the day brusing your teeth in your new rain hat, really doesn't everyone wear a rain hat when they brush? Do you think she was trying to tell me Charlie splashes?

Happy 3rd Birthday Michelle!

We ended the day with a family face painting session.....
