Never underestimate the power of dressup

Michelle had a princess party yesterday. She was so excited about it!!!
She started out the day in Snow White..

We started the party making crowns and quickly moved from one activity to the next and there were a lot of fun things for princesses to do.

Hanging with the birthday girl in her Ariel outfit.

Let the dance party begin!! Please note her purple "lips". Perhaps she is going to be a clown.

One last outfit before we leave.

Thanks for a great party Ann! Happy Birthday Isabella!

Gymnastics -- Charlie's Turn

Today was our last day of gymnastics. I'm so torn about whether to continue for the next session or not. The kids really love it and with winter coming I'm thinking it is a good opportunity for them to burn off some energy.

"Hey I need some help over here"

When I first saw this second picture (while still in the gym) I thought it looked like Charlie was finishing a ring routine with a big old Ta-Da, now looking at it on the computer I see the fear in his eyes. (He was mid-fall)Still really funny though!

This just makes me laugh:

BTW, Charlie is typically in more appropriate gymnastics attire but he is 2 and picks his own outfits on a daily basis.

The kids received awards at the end of the class and Michelle was so proud!!!

Stay tuned for the two princess parties we attended today as well. I'm simply too tired to post them tonight.

Does anyone notice a theme going on here?

Michelle came down so proud she had dressed herself for the day, LOL.

Aquarium

Moezy and I decided to do a spontaneous "Mystery Ride" to the Aquarium today and we were very fortunate to have Amy and Lily join us. And thanks to Amy I have this awesome picture of Michelle and I.

I really didn't take too many pictures but these ones are cool.

Naptime

I would first like to say that Charlie does own and wear pants. Today we tried to skip his nap, guess it didn't work.

Michelle's first sleepover

Michelle had her first sleepover last night with her cousin Kate Rose. The funny thing was that Katie slept in Charlie's toddler bed and Michelle slept on the floor. I wanted to go in to take a picture but I was scared to wake them up. It was fun for them though. We're already looking forward to our next one!

Gymnastics then and now

Michelle has been taking gymnastics sporadically since last year.
Can you believe how little she looks?!?!?!!? This session we decided to start Charlie too, okay I decided to start Charlie but he loves it. I'll have to bring my camera next week since Charlie took the day off to stay home and clean.....LOL

Really he had a runny nose. It is really something to see Michelle this year. She has progressed so much.

She loves the balance beam. Here she is practicing a routine for her Aunts.

She enjoys jumping on the tumble track as well.

I was a little late in getting the camera out but Michelle did great on the rings today. She swung back and forth but didn't want to let go until she got back to the beginning.

Charlie's Playdate Week

We were able to play with Cody this morning. The boys were so funny as they just kept giving each other stuff ie Cody would bring "Chaalee" his milk, then Charlie would go get Cody his water. This went on and on with their snacks too. I asked them to take a picture together but I was turned down, lol.

Celebrating Shawn's 2nd B'day

Charlie and I were very lucky to spend the morning with Shawn on his 2nd birthday!!!
We tried to go to Bonkers but unfortunately the person opening was 20 minutes late and we since we had to go back to pick up the girls at school it would not have been worth it to pay to play for 30 minutes. We did however have fun at the playground. Charlie's supersonic ears heard the trucks at the dump so we were forced to bring Shawn to the fence of the dump on his birthday, lol.

Are they not the cutest together?!?!?!?!

Fall Days

I have a friend who is participating in NaBloPoMo, which is a challenge, I guess that is what you would call it, to post to your blog every day in the month of November. Although I know I will not be able to fill up the entire month with posts I'm going to try for more than usual, :-)

The kids and I headed outside after naptime to rake and play in the leaves.

Charlie "helped" rake.

He even diligently cleaned the rake.

Then looked on very proud.....

.....and jumped in like a champ.

Then Michelle came in for the tackle.

I simply have to post these too.

Hockey

Although I misread the skating flier we bought Charlie some skates today. He of course wanted to wear them right away so I have towels and rugs set up all over the floor!!

Trick or Treat

We started Halloween morning with a lovely breakfast of ghost, bat and pumpkin pancakes.

We went to gymnastics in our costumes.(I really wish I had remembered the camera)

Charlie wanted desperately to be a hockey player but all I found was Patriots shirt in his size. I was telling him it was a hockey shirt until the best Daddy ever came home....

Charlie was hysterical, he was so excited he had to run inside to show "Chelle"

We headed to Auntie Jenn's and Uncle Chris's for their annual Halloween party. Nani and Grampa won the prize for best costume. I love Charlie's face as he sees them walking down the street and then hears Grampas voice.

All Charlie wanted to do was get inside the SpongeBob costume.

Auntie Jenn's haunted house did not scare Charlie.

This seems to be a common theme in our house, you take your eyes off of a child you will find them eating. In this case Uncle Jim was encouraging her to double dip, lol.

Time to go trick or treating!!!!

Ahhhh....

So cute!!!!

Michelle and Kyle were so cute together!!
