Apple Picking!!

Although it clearly was not the same as apple picking with their cousins, Michelle and Charlie had fun apple picking yesterday. Charlie has eaten so many apples I think he will turn into one. We forgot our camera so we are stuck with a few iphone pictures.

Skating Take 2

Michelle was desperate to skate after last weeks class that we caved and signed her up. She LOVED it! Charlie on the other hand hardly made it out on the ice.
(For all my photography friends, I need help with ice rink shots!!!!)

First day of "hockey" AKA "learn to skate"

Charlie has been looking forward to this day for months now if not years. He did okay but definitely got frustrated.I was very proud though as he came off the ice at one point but went back on with some encouragement. He is growing up so fast!!

First day of school!!!!

Today was Charlie's true first day of school. I was so worried about it but he loved it, particularly the dressup!!! I think it is going to be a long year with him going in the morning and Michelle in the afternoon but I know I will treasure my alone time with each child. I can't believe how quickly they are growing up.

Sports World Again

The kids have been spoiled the past few weeks with two trips to Sports World. However this time we were going for the go karts which Charlie had been waiting for for weeks.




We then went to the Skipper Restaurant where the kids were allowed to make their own ice creams! Alan is clearly a brave man letting Charlie back there!! Be sure to notice how clean the counter was before Charlie came along.




Michelle had a daintier approach.



What a great Labor Day!!




PS: A note to myself in the years to come..... Michelle and Charlie were so excited to sit on the deck upstairs at the Skipper, they thought we were in the sky, :-)

Kite Flying with Earl

Kite flying as full of frustration and happiness but overall good. Michelle's pants fell off on her first attempt so we just went without.

We decided to have some outdoor fun yesterday in anticipation of being stuck inside this afternoon. At this point however it looks like hurricaine Earl isn't going to strike until this evening, hopefully once the kids are in bed.

School Open House

Today the kids went to school to meet their new classmates. Charlie was excited to be going to Michelle's school, he actually was quite disappointed that he did't get to stay by himself. We shall see how he feels next Wednesday!

I took some pictures for their cubbies before we left. I will have to redo Michelle's but Charlie's makes me laugh so I think I will stick with it.

Long time no post

I can't believe I have not posted in so long. I don't think I have been carrying my camera around much.

We did take the kids mini-golfing again and they loved it. Of course it was much more crowed going mini-golfing on an overcast day on Cape Cod.





We have spent some time at the beach.



And of course started wearing our halloween costumes, I don't think we could have gotten more use out of this La-La costume if we tried.
