We had a great day yesterday! Michelle and Charlie are at such great ages for Christmas. Although I think we saw a bit too much of Santa before the big day they were still obviously excited for him to come. I thought they would wake up and remember that he had visited overnight but they did not, however when I said he had come you could hear the quick pitter patter of feet. It was very interesting to see the difference in the demeanor of the two of them. I would have thought Charlie would rip through the presents but it was actually Michelle who did that. Charlie went back and forth between his motorcycle and work bench until he realized if he didn't open his presents his sister was about to tear through them.
It wouldn't be Christmas without the boys taking a nap while the girls cleaned and played would it?

Santa x 4 and the blizzard of 2009
Yesterday we had the YFD/YPD kids christmas party. The kids had such a great time and again were pros sitting with Santa and telling him the list of things they want, which is hard to keep up with as it changes to some degree daily.
Today we woke up to a lot of snow. The kids loved playing in it all day long!

A video attempt
Although I can't quite figure out how to rotate these videos I find them amusing. Charlie desperately wants Santa to bring him a motorcycle. For some reason I thought it would be a good idea to buy him a musical motorcycle for his ornament. I think I'll have that song stuch in my head for the entire year at this point.

Santa Take 3
We are so fortunate to see Santa several times this year. Yesterday was my Emerald party. The kids met Santa at the club even though Mommy showed up at 12 and the party started at 11, ooops.
As you can see Michelle is a pro now, she climbed right on up and started smiling for me, LOL.
She then started telling some story Santa wanted everyone to hear but of course as soon as the microphone came out she clammed up.
She was pleased when he had his elf take down notes of what she wanted.
Charlie thought Santa was great too. He had just put a piece of chocolate in his mouth when his name was called. Santa asked him what he was eating and Charlie had to show him!!! He told Santa that he wanted a "motorcycle" (if only you could hear the way he says that).
Michelle enjoyed dipping marshmellows in chcolate and then licking the chocolate off of her hands.
Charlie made a cookie and of course dug right in.

Disney World!!!
It has been brought to my attention twice today that I have not updated this blog with photos from Disney World so I figure it is time I post a few. A great big thanks to Mimi for allowing me to borrow her camera since I forgot to charge my camera battery, :-(. Please bear with the blurry photos I'm not used to a camera with a delay. Additionally, I lost the memory stick with the photos I did take in Naples so although we had a great time I will not be able to document it on here, again :-(
On to Disney:
The kids had so much fun. The first night we went to the T-Rex restaurant which was really, really cool, although I think Michelle and Charlie we just as excited to go on a bus!
We then walked around Downtown Disney and found some really fun things...
..including Santa Claus!
And a train
Our first day at the Magic Kingdom was a huge success. We were there all day long and went on so many rides. We started the day on Dumbo and you can tell Michelle is just a little excited.
We did not get very far before Charlie took a nap.
Charlie's nap timing was actually pretty good since it allowed us to take Michelle into see the Princesses. Thanks to Nani and Grampa for sitting with him.
Although I was sad he didn't wake up in time for Mickey and Minnie..
Michelle thought she really wanted to go on the Goofy roller coaster but as you can see she changed her mind half way through, lol.
Charlie's first encounter with a character, Piglet, was awesome. He was SOOOO excited, although he didn't want to stop eating his ice cream.
He was equally excited for every character he met.
By far the best part of the day for me was riding the cars with Charlie. He got to steer which he was simply thrilled with. Of course we kept bumming from one side of the track to the next but he was belly laughing so hard it was hysterical. When it was time to get off he was so upset. I sent Mike on it with him one more time because it was so fun watching him.
I'll post about the Animal Kingdom another day. We are already looking forward to 2011!!!
