Another Day Another Tooth

We were wondering why Mr. Charlie-Pants was SO fussy the past couple of days, in addition to his first cold which of course he got after going to the pediatrician for a "well visit" I found his third tooth on Saturday! It is his upper left "fang", I think, only time will tell as it comes down further. He is becoming cuter every day. He loves to laugh and smile when someone is speaking to him, he just always wants someone talking to him, :-)

Well, of course someone interupted me and I was never able to finish this post last week. Charlie's teeth have continued to show their heads, he now appears to be getting a third bottom tooth along with the 2-3 that are pushing through the top as well. He has even started to do the "army crawl" and is very close the more traditional crawling!



I have also learned that it is next to impossible to get a toddler to stay still for a picture let alone smile, that is unless you let them paint in their highchair.

Is Noontime to Early for Bed?

Michelle has been quite the busy girl this morning. First she decided carrying around my bathrobe tie was a fun thing to do and amused herself wrapping it all around her.


When she got bored playing with it herself, she thought it would be fun to see how it looked on Charlie, who of course promptly fell over as I went to take his picture:


When she got bored with that she discovered a box of animal crackers left "hidden" by an unknown source (ahem):




And finally when she got bored with all of her books she decided she was outta there, although she did inadvertently take some books with her...


Max and Keepher were particularly impressed with this trick and took notes on how they too might accomplish it.

Pumpkin "Picking"

We have been quite the "pick your own" family this month. We decided to get out to enjoy the beautiful weather yesterday and made a spur of the moment decision to go pick our own pumpkins in Falmouth with Grampy and Mimi. The farm was very nice but Michelle was mostly amused by walking up and down the road yelling "pumPkin (yes lots of emphasize on the middle P) where are you?" When we would bring her over to the pumpkins, she would respond by saying "no pumpkin, no" and then the game would start again.

Poor Charlie arrived at the farm with no hat. We were able to find one in Mike's truck but it is quite obviously way too small. Better than nothing right?




Michelle decided she liked the pumpkins when we got into the car.


After lunch we were fortunate that we were too tired to unload the car Sunday night of some halloween costumes.

Playing Dress Up

Although she is walking around the house w/ a doll as I type, Michelle found it more amusing to dress Charlie up yesterday. The funny thing is he didn't seem to mind one bit.

Apple Picking

I had a brillant idea that apple picking would be a fun event this year, someone please remind me of this day when I want to go next year. :-) Just kidding, we had a great day with all of the Kramer clan. Michelle and Charlie did great with only a 15-20 minute nap each all day long!!! Well, Charlie had a meltdown for the last 30 minutes of our car ride home, but let us all remember this is Charlie we are talking about so that was fabulous as it could have been for hours. Mike is making apple crisp as we speak, too bad all I want is a candy apple.

The Redneck Yacht Club

Unwilling to let the summer end, Nani had Bop-Bop pull the boat up on the beach at WLYC for just a few more minutes....

Then we proceeded to watch Mike race in a F1 (I think that is what the cars are called) charity event.

Taking Labor Day to Heart

Without prompting from us Michelle decided Labor Day (Also, her 20 month b'day) was the day she would learn to feed the dogs. This led to much confusion on the end of Max and Keepher as it was not a typical feeding time.




She also mastered going done the stairs both on her bum and crawling down them backwards. I never thought this day would come, but let me tell you it is such a huge help!!

Charlie took his time this weekend preparing for boating and trying to learn the piano.
