We rung in the new year nice and early this year, at 3:30 when Mike was heading into work, :-). The neighbor across the street was laughing as the kids blew on their noisemakers and yelled "Happy New Year" to Mike as he drove off.
Bring on 2011, although I must admit I am crying right now thinking that I am going to have a 5 and 4 year old in 2011. Time goes so fast and sometimes I forget to slow and enjoy the kids and life. That is my goal for 2011: Slow down and enjoy my family. Life is short, we must embrace it.

Christmas Day
Santa came! The kids were super excited, particularly Charlie who got up at 2:45am and was found playing under the tree. In his defense he hadn't opened anything but was playing with the gifts he had recieved on Christmas Eve, see below they are certainly a favorite toy around here. I am wondering how long until we have to make a trip to the ER, LOL.
While we waited for Daddy to get the dogs all settled we opened stockings and tried out our new sled.
We opened presents...
...including what we REALLY wanted from Santa,
BUT, we ultimately went back to the gifts from our aunts who knew exactly what to get us!!!
Charlie even had to pack his lunch box!!!
Then Nani and Grampa came over. Charlie was thrilled with his Hess truck! Michelle went missing but I found her in her room with her new Tag Reader and the "reading" pillow from Nani.
Then Mimi, Grampy, Tori, Aunt Sue and Jaimie came over. Michelle got the present she has been waiting a Lanie Doll!!! She was so happy and had to go change into a matching outfit.
What a great day!!

School Show Day!!!
We have been anxiously awaiting show day for a few weeks now. Charlie has been practicing quite a bit, sometimes at 4 a.m., while Michelle has been telling us she would sing at the show.
First it was Charlie's turn and he started out pretty well....
but then he needed his Mommy!!!
He did rebound for some dancing with his sister.
This afternoon it was Michelle's turn. I am not sure pictures can do justice how hysterical she was! She was up dancing (when everyone else was sitting) and had a very good time for herself!!
What is this move???
Cousins!

Let it snow!!!
We were so excited for the first snow of the season. Charlie was outside for as much of the day as he could! We started bright and early, sorry neighbors!
While most of my "children" had fun playing outside, I had one that was more than content to stay by my side in the house!!!
When Mike got home Charlie was simply thrilled to head back out because he had "stayed up really late" (5:30pm ha ha) to help!!

Santa x2
Our kids are so fortunate that both of our workplaces put on parties for the children. Michelle and Charlie both had quite different reactions to Santa arriving on the roof of the yacht club.....
Michelle maintained her enthusiasm the entire time she waited, which was quite a long time as there were just under 100 children to see Santa!
I wish I could say Charlie did so well but he tried to wrestle his sister and climbed under tables right in front of Santa, oh and there was an incident with chocolate coming out of his mouth......
Our turn!!!
Again, Charlie was apprehensive but quickly came around.
Smile contest!!!
And one final secret to share with Santa
Yesterday we almost missed Santa but luckily he was still giving out gifts when we got there!!
