Memorial Day

We can't believe Memorial Day weekend has come to an end. It must have been a busy one since it is 5:15pm and the kids have been in bed for 20 minutes!! I unfortunately didn't take many pictures until today but we did have a great time catching up with friends and taking in a ball game here and there.

This morning we went to the Memorial Day ceremony at Yarmouth town hall to watch Mike and represent with the honor guard. The kids were so excited to see their Daddy marching.

We then went to see Mimi and Grampy for a cookout at Woods Hole. It was so beautiful sitting outside in the rocking chairs and relaxing after lunch. Grampy was kind enough to take the kids on some golf cart rides which they loved and allowed us to actually relax for a good bit. They came back and had some cookies annd then went for more rides.

Preschool is over, :-(

Today was Michelle's last day of preschool. It is truly amazing how much she grew to love preschool. I have heard kids cry for the first week or two but she cried for TWO MONTHS!!. She now kicks me out and has so much fun. Mrs. Barth today me today that she went on the potty too, she usually holds it all morning, and that all the kids had huge hooray for her.

I realized I didn't have a picture of her by the preschool sign it seemed perfect to take it with her friend Angelena. Unfortunately, Michelle doesn't like to look at the camera these days.

For the end of year lunch the kids sang us some of their favorite school songs and Michelle sang and danced up a storm.

Before getting their diplomia the kids stood in the middle and the teachers said what the wanted to be when they grow up. Michelle wanted to be " a policeman just like my daddy." Brought tears to my eyes, yes I'm a crying fool at these things. I wish Mike could have been there.

PS: Charlie loved having his lunch at "Chells school".

Michelle's Fist School "Show"

For Mother's Day we were invited to a tea at Michelle's school. The kids sang us some songs and we had pastries afterwards. Although Michelle was excited she really didn't sing. She did however tell the world that I give her apples while I watch tv in the cookbook they made. Charlie was very excited to go to "chells" school, doesn't he look so cute?!?!?!

If I haven't mentioned recently, I love my job. Last night we had a bowling night to raise money for the American Cancer Society, rumor has it we raised over $1100.
Although the kids didn't like bowling they really enjoyed "playing" the video games. Michelle really didn't like bowling, the picture is her running away from the lane. Poor Grampa wound up bowling by himself, :-)

I don't know why but I find this picture hysterical. Zoe's face has me laughing outloud. For some reason Mike isn't as amused as I though.

Charlie was so excited to get his own umbrella from Nani today. We had to immediately go into the yard to use it. Although I can't figure out how to open it all the way. Looks like we'll be taking a trip to Target this week.

The Ball Rescue--The sprinklers are on, need I say more?

To clarify in the first picture Charlie is not crying he is just making this face because of the water hitting him. I can't stop laughing everytime I see these pictures. He was so proud when he emerged with the ball.

You really should click on this picture to get the full effect:

Meeting Dora and Afternoon at the Beach

To end April school vacation we took a road trip to meet Dora. Michelle and Grace were both thrilled. I wish I had a video of when Grace found out who was coming she was SO excited. The first picture is of Grace running to me when she found out. Charlie was such a sport, he could have cared less about Dora!!

Michelle approached Dora with caution but ultimately did.

Today we decided to head to the beach for some playing in the sand on this abnormally warm day. There was much more wind then I was anticipating but it was fun regardless.

Charlie was quite intrigued by the group of boys playing some war game (I think). They were going on missions?

School Vacation

While Michelle and Charlie's "Kramer cousins" played in the Florida sun, they got to play in the rain. Unfortunately for Charlie he doesn't have an umbrella so he was stuck with the extra large beach umbrella. Seriously what is it with raingear for boys. I find all sorts of cute raincoats and boots for Michelle but nothing for Charlie. Mike tells me because boys aren't supposed to wear raincoats????

Today we got to play with the "Cazeault cousins" the good thing about them is that not only do they wear out Michelle and Charlie they wear out the dogs too. Zoe got LOTS of attention today. She is the perfect kid size where as poor Max doesn't realize his own strength. He is such a good dog though. (Just have to give him some credit)
